Information technology and communication (ICT) play an important role in shaping our daily lives, both at work and at home. The role of information, communication and technology will be further enhanced in the information generation era as the business frontiers extend beyond any expected horizon.

Considering the impending role of ICT in the current business millennium, Open University Malaysia in collaboration with the University of La Rochelle, France provides leading edge knowledge and experience to people who wish to improve their skills and competences in the field of information technology and communication.

The Master of Information Technology offers you an opportunity to enhance your managerial and technical competences in the challenging field of information technology and become the future knowledge workers in the knowledge economic era.

Entry Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree with honours or its equivalent in any field of study
  2. Work experience is an added advantage

Duration of study

The minimum duration of study in each of the graduate programmes is as follows:

Graduate Program Duration
Master Degree The minimum duration is two (2) years or six (6) semesters

Under exceptional circumstances, the University reserves its right to waive the minimum duration provided an application is made in writing to the Director, Centre for Graduate Studies, and approved by the Academic Board of OUM.

Candidates who are not able to complete within the maximum duration can apply for an extension not more than two semesters or one year by making the request in writing to the Director, Centre for Graduate Studies, and approved by the Academic Board of OUM. The application must be made three months before the expiry date of extended duration of study.
